Allah Is the Best of Planners- When Life Doesn’t Go the Way You Planned

Allah Is the Best of Planners - When Life Doesn’t Go the Way You Planned.jpg

Sometimes life doesn’t go the way we planned.

You had the timeline.
The goals.
The routine.
The version of yourself you thought you’d be by now.

Then life changed.

Motherhood happened.
Or your body changed.
Or your health shifted.
Or your routine disappeared.
Or unexpected tests arrived.

And suddenly, instead of moving forward, you feel stuck.

Like you’re walking through mud.

Heavy. Slow. Frustrating.

But what if that season isn’t ruining you…

What if it’s rebuilding you?

Because sometimes Allah subhana wata aala removes your plan to give you something better.

And sometimes the test is not taking you off track, it is the track!

When Life Feels Like Walking Through Mud

Imagine walking toward your destination.

You know where you want to go.

You feel prepared.

Then suddenly, you step into deep mud.

The kind that pulls your feet down.

The kind that makes every step harder.

You try to keep walking.

But the mud clings.

Your shoes get heavier.

You start sinking.

Eventually, you realise something difficult:

If you want to keep moving, you may need to take your shoes off.

You may need to get uncomfortable.

You may need to get your feet dirty.

You may even get scratched.

But if the goal is the destination, comfort cannot be the priority.

And this is life.

Sometimes Allah allows the mud.

Not to stop you.

But to teach you how to walk differently.

Allah Sees the Whole Map

We plan with limited vision.

Allah plan is with complete wisdom.

We see inconvenience.

Allah has placed protection.

We see rejection.

Allah assists in redirection.

We see delay.

Allah guides us to preparation.

Allah says:

“Perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah knows, while you know not.”
(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:216)

How many times have we cried over something we later thanked Allah for removing?

How many times did disappointment become protection?

Delay does not always mean denial.

Sometimes it means development.

Hard Seasons Change Your Brain

It’s biological and not just emotional.

Science calls it neuroplasticity.

Your brain rewires through challenge.

When life gets difficult, your brain adapts.

It builds:

  • resilience

  • patience

  • emotional regulation

  • problem-solving

  • discipline

  • strength under pressure

This is why hard seasons feel exhausting.

Because growth is work.

You are not weak.

You are adapting.

Even healing takes energy.

Why Health and Wellness Often Fall Apart First

When life feels heavy, the first things to suffer are often:

  • your health

  • your workouts

  • your nutrition

  • your mindset

  • your routines

  • your time management

You stop prioritising yourself.

Then guilt follows.

You tell yourself you lack discipline.

But often, the truth is simpler:

You are overloaded.

Adjustment is not failure.

It is wisdom.

Sometimes progress looks like:

  • walking instead of intense workouts

  • simple meals instead of perfection

  • strength training twice a week

  • protecting your peace

  • resting without guilt

That still counts.

Muslimahs Need a New Definition of Success

Motherhood changes everything.

When you plan doesn’t go as you wrote it, it changes everything

You can plan the perfect day…

and still lose control by breakfast.

This doesn’t mean you are failing.

It means life is real.

Sometimes success is not doing everything.

Sometimes success is:

  • praying on time

  • a 20-minute workout

  • drinking enough water

  • showing up again tomorrow

That matters.

That is progress.

Trusting Allah While Still Taking Action

Tawakkul is not passive.

It is not sitting still and hoping things improve.

It means:

You plan.
You work.
You try.
You keep walking.

But if the road changes, you trust Allah knows why.

You trust that His plan is better than your timeline.

Because hardship is not proof of abandonment.

Sometimes it is proof of preparation.

Final Reminder

If life feels heavy right now…

If your plans changed…

If your routine disappeared…

If you feel like you are walking through mud

hear this clearly:

You are not behind.

You are being redirected.

You are not ruined.

You are being refined.

You are not abandoned.

You are being carried.

Take the shoes off if you need to.

Walk slower if you must.

Let your feet get dirty.

Trust that even this season is shaping you.

Because Allah is not just the Planner.

He is the Best of Planners.

And what He is writing for you
will always be better than what you tried to force.
