You have some pins in place on what you want to achieve and i’m here to help you get to the next level In shaa Allah. I understand what it’s like to have to juggle what you want to do, with what you have to do. Remember, you already have some type of routine in place that you have been working with for some time. This routine may not be as solidified as you want, but it works sometimes, so you're okay with that.
However, I know you still need to add time for your goals. Goals don’t just come about without planning and having tools in place to build on ‘you’. A destination has to have a path that’s clear with instructions.
A tip on changing something that you currently do which is stalling your progress in your desired direction is using a cue. Cues for actions are people, events or things that trigger you to change your behaviour.
For example; if you have a habit that doesn’t benefit you and you want to change it, like craving something sweet after dinner, creating a regular routine of you, then eating cake, which makes you satisfied in the moment, but not for your health.
To try to reduce and break down that habit, think of some tasks that need to be completed before you go to bed. After dinner when you feel that craving, make yourself occupied with those tasks, with the intention of making it easier on you later or tomorrow. And that’s the reward. What does it feel like when you have many things to complete and you achieve some the day before. Well…..for me it frees my time to do other things and gets me back on track and that craving goes long time ago, because I am so engrossed in completing what I am doing at that time, so to be honest it doesn’t stay in my head.
Try this technique out and let me know how you get on in shaa Allah. I have had many successes with this and my clients allowing room for healthier more benefical habits with the intentions of pleasing Allah. Alhamdulillah.
Some things in life require us to know our ‘why’. Why are you doing this? what for? who for?....It could be that you want to look good in a particular item of clothing for your spouse or yourself. You want to be more active for your children. You want to feel proud of your progress and confidence in your own skin. You want to feel strong and healthy. Whatever the reason, mark it in a diary and make that your driving force.
And yes, it can be for those reasons besides what it should be first, which is to look after the gift Allah has given us, but this doesn’t mean that this is not one of your reasons why, we just need to put this at the forefront of our WHY. If you haven’t already..
Once you download the workout, set 2 or 3 days whichever you prefer, to make that time to complete it. Setting the same time on the days you choose creates a system that you will get used to, consciously priming your body for the good stress that will benefit it, will allow for you to grow.
Copy and paste when trying to attain success, achievements, growth with tools you’ve been given still requires effort, time, consistency, pateince and dua. It’s the cement for the bricks, but you have to build it with your bricks for it to work!
